Tonight my family will be attending a Trunk-or-Treat as part of an early Halloween celebration. Have you attended one of those events before? Rather than going around the neighborhood knocking on doors, the neighborhood families instead meet in a parking lot and open up their trunks, which are both decorated and contain bowls of candy. Then the children simply hop from one vehicle to the next picking up candy as they go. We enjoy it because it's very convenient; and my children love it as they are always heavily laden with candy after about a 1/2 hour. This is especially nice on the colder fall evenings. Any way that we can celebrate one of my favorite holidays is ok with me.
Another way I enjoy celebrating is to decorate my home with fun Halloween decor. This week as I was browsing the beautiful projects posted on our Facebook page, I came across this darling spider hanger from Karen Hanson. I love the crinkled body of the spiders, and the dangling legs. This is a craft I know my children will want to make.
To thank Karen for sharing her creative idea, we're awarding her one collection kit of her choosing. Karen, please contact us at info@echoparkpaper.com with the subject line "Facebook Fan Friday WINNER!" Please include your shipping information and the collection kit you'd like to receive.
We'd love to award additional collection kits on the upcoming Fridays. So we'll be watching our Facebook page for amazing projects featuring any of our Echo Park Paper collection kits. Be sure to also enter our Dots & Stripes Contest as we are awarding SIX winners collection kits just for posting their Dots & Stripes projects on the Facebook page as well.
We can hardly wait to be inspired by your creativity!

Oh Wow! This is so exciting!!! And the best news is that these are so easy to make! There are many templates out there right now for 3D pumpkins - this is just a modification. I just took my strips of paper and scored them to give them some texture and then added some legs (and big googlie eyes of course)! So easy!
Thank-you Echo Park for acknowledging my project! Love you guys!
