Fresh Face Designer: Pam Brown Post #3

Once again, I get the opportunity to share a special Fresh Face Designer post with you hosted by Pam Brown. Pam has done it again! This time she has a darling card to share with you. Banners are a super hot trend right now, and I love the way she created patterned paper banner strips to form this "Make a Wish" card. Below are her supply list and instructions.

"Make a Wish" Card

Supplies: (all products from the "Country Drive" collection) Clover Meadow patterned paper, Border Strip patterned paper, Apron Strings patterned paper, Sundress patterned paper, Leafy Tree Top patterned paper, Little Ladies patterned paper, element stickers

Keep reading for a detail photo of this project and the complete instructions!

Instructions:
1. Create a card base from white cardstock that measures 4.25"x5.5" when folded shut.
2. Trim a piece of the yellow honeycomb print from the Leafy Tree Top patterned paper to measure 3.75"x5.25."
3. Trim a piece of the Little Ladies patterned paper (blue print) to measure .25"x5.25."
4. Flip them over and tape them together.
5. Wrap bakers twine around the seam of the 2 papers and tie into a bow.
6. To create the other flags, trim a piece measuring 3.5"x.75" from the Clover Meadow patterned paper, the Border Strip patterned paper, the Apron Strings patterned paper, the Sundress patterned paper, and the Leafy Tree Top patterned paper and flip them over to mark on the back side. Measure .75" up from the bottom and made a dot with a pencil in the middle (3/8" from each side).
7. Use an exacto knife to cut from the dot down to the corner of the strip on both sides...basically cutting a little triangle out at the bottom.
8. Adhere the flags to the yellow side of the patterned paper.
9. Use normal adhesive on the straight edge of each flag, and foam adhesive on the cut edge of the flag so that it sticks up slightly from the card. Use your fingers to roll up the tips of the flags.
10. Add a line of stitching over the left side of the flags and added a little flower made from some of the element stickers above the bakers twine bow. Adhere this to my card base.

What a beautiful project! Keeping watching for next week's edition of our Fresh Face Designer post! And be sure to add your entries to our next Fresh Face Designer call (see details in sidebar).
